Meet Monica; your Photographer
Hello! I live in Royal Oak with my 2 awesome kiddos, 2 cute guinea pigs and a tiny dog who is in need of an exorcism.
-Music keeps me sane(ish). i go to rock n roll shows all the time, like all the time. the best times happen when you don't even feel like going out but force yourself to.
-my high score in bowling is 216. if i ever switched careers, I'd get a bowling coach and try to go pro.
-i also like road trips, darts, pinball, PBR, and eating my way through every vegan restaurant in the metro Detroit area.
-I have been practicing kung fu for over 2 years. Let's fight! Just kidding, you would probably win.
-I'm an extraverted introvert. i love meeting people and having new adventures.
Let me tell you a little about my photography background:
-first camera given to me in second grade. i was hooked
-graduated from Wayne state university with a fine arts/photography degree. i love Detroit & wsu.
-shot my first wedding in 2014. i've had a million different photo gigs but weddings are my thing. i thrive in the fast paced, high energy, high stakes (there are certain shots you cannot miss!) environment. When a dance floor is poppin i can feel the love that the guests have for the couple.
I take this craft seriously and feel privileged that I can make this my career. I am available for wedding, family, branding and band photography in the Metro Detroit area (I will also travel anywhere).
For me, It's not about that perfect Instagram post, it's about making my clients happy. I will provide you with images that are modern, timeless, clean. These photos are not only for you but for future generations to cherish.

if you think something is lame, don't do it. it's not your grandma's wedding.
people who say they are awkward in front of the camera, are my people. your photos won't show it. focus on the day and being in love, that's were the magic is.
gorgeous landscapes are cool but a true artist can take beautiful photos anywhere.
having photos of your loved ones on the dance floor or crying during the ceremony will mean the world once they are no longer with you.
